Erik Potempa was born & raised in Chicago. While he was in college studying international business at Oregon State, he fell in love with storytelling and decided to follow his dreams to NYC where he attended The Neighborhood Playhouse 2-year Acting Conservatory, studied screenwriting at Jacob Krueger Studio, and got a job working as a personal trainer at Equinox.

Erik loves telling stories about the struggles of common people to live out their dreams. His revenge comedy web series, KILLER WORKOUT, is being licensed by Revry.TV and was a finalist for Sundance Episodic Lab. His pilot script for his half-hour comedy, PITITSKI’S GYM, was named top 5 TV Pilots of 2022 by Save The Cat!, and his pitch for his half-hour comedy, GEEZERS, was a finalist in the Austin Film Festival pitch competition. His short film version of GEEZERS starring Dan Lauria from THE WONDER YEARS is now streaming on OMELETO.

His favorite pastime is chewing on edibles with his wife, and throwing impromptu dance parties in their living room.
